The group produces more than 2,000 food items, currently manufactured in 11 production plants and marketed through regional distribution centers. The group exports its products to other countries, primarily to Europe and the US. As part of the group’s efforts to increase its activity in Europe, Osem acquired Yarden G.B. Ltd. in July 2009. Yarden is a leading marketer and distributor of kosher foods in England.
Osem has an exclusive cooperation agreement with the Nestle Group of Switzerland, now Osem's largest shareholder, to distribute and manufacture Nestle products in Israel. Osem markets Nestle products through its marketing and sales network and receives technical research and development assistance and rights to Nestle know-how. The partnership with Nestle has positioned Osem at the forefront of the global food industry.
Major Subsidiaries
Tivall (100%-owned) specializes in the development and production of vegetarian meat-substitute products, ready-made meals and snacks from natural ingredients. Tivall’s new factory in the Czech Republic is enabling Tivall to expand its activities in Europe. In 2008, Tivall acquired Tribe Mediterranean Foods , a US producer of chilled and organic salads and humus, and Food Tech International , a producer of vegetarian foods. In late November 2010, Osem purchased the remaining 42% of Tivall for NIS 468 million, to reach a 100% interest in the company.
Sabra Salads Co. (100%-owned by Tivall) manufactures ready-made salads and spreads, including humus, tehina and eggplant salad. Sabra Salads are marketed in leading European retail chains.
The Nestle Ice Cream Company (100%) produces and markets Nestle's leading ice-cream brands in Israel.
Bonjour (1986) Ltd. (100%) is Israel's largest manufacturer of bakery products, which are freshly baked at the point of sale.
Materna (51%) is the leading company in Israel in the field of infant nutrition with a 58% market share. In December 2009, Osem acquired 51% of the infant nutrition operations of Maabarot Products Ltd., under the Materna brand.

Osem Investment Ltd., eine 54%-ige Tochtergesellschaft von Nestle, ist das Mutterunternehmen der Osem Group, Israels Hauptproduzenten und -vermarkter von Lebensmitteln. Die Gruppe widmet sich der Herstellung und dem Vertrieb von Snacks, Suppen, Backwaren, Nudeln, Fertigkuchen, Schokolade, Frühstücksmüsli, Saftkonzentraten, Kaffee, Dosenprodukten, gefrorenen und gekühlten Salaten, Fleischersatzprodukten, Babynahrung, Eiscreme und Tiernahrung.
